In this class we've discussed numerous of things and read different types of articles. One of the last articles we've discussed were speaking on Youtube, how technology disables us in this society. I found it very interesting that how much technolgy can be a distraction to people. From seating at work, being in a classroom, even riding in the car, we get easily distacted by the cell phones, laptops, ipads, etc. Our lives now are so different from when we all were younger, no one use text messaging as much as now, Youtube wasn't as popular, Twitter, or Facebook. The past paper I've done which was on compare and contrast of Twitter and Facebook, me personally don't use Facebook as much, but I know others that enjoy it very much. Twitter is all mobile to me, Facebook isn't. Facebook in opinion is more visual so therefore you would have to seat in front of your computer/laptop to see what's going on. Twitter you can simply make a tweet or message right from your phone.
We also recently watched a few YouTube videos on how technology is used in throughout all the classrooms and how more focused students are into the technology then actually focusing on the instructor. One of the things that kind of stuck out to me was that our student loans, the loans that we all take out in one semester and once we graduate from college how much debt we're in. The technology is doing nothung but getting bigger and better. It's going to be even harder for us once we actually get into our careers due to technology. Another was, are we going to even need the degree that we pursue? I find it very difficult for us now, so years down the line the way that technology is building, we'll need some type of connection through other people to actually get a good job. Since I've stated school people have told me that you'll be paying off student loans forever, taking out loans come with debt behind it. I have friends that actually stop going to college because of fear from being drowned in loans. It is true? Quiting school and just getting a normal job is better than trying to pursue a career. I go back and forth with myself with this question, will technology take over our work sources? This question can be answered with so many different opinions.I have learned a little more about the things we discuss in class, some situations on how people can be bias towards whatevers being talked about. Now when I read I go deeper into the reading and try to visualize what's being said. My aspects in this class were tying to have an open me, be able to speak and see what others see because I'm not that visual. It takes time for me be able to discuss what the topic may be on.
